Biography

Prof. Jojo Wong received her Bachelor of Nursing degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degree from the Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus on cancer and pediatric care. She is also interested in using innovative technologies in her research and education projects. She is currently working on several virtual reality-related research projects that engage users in an immersive environment to distract them from medical procedures.

Prof. Wong teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the School. She has received eight Teacher of the Year Awards (Faculty of Medicine, CUHK), and was also a member of the School team in winning the University Education Award in 2016. With the support of teaching grants, she has developed two virtual reality coursewares to teach students about patient safety and pediatric intravenous infusion.
