Ten Bachelor of Science in Gerontology Year 2 students visited the Wakayama Medical University, Japan and various local aged care settings including home care support centre, rehabilitation hospital, day care centre, housing for older adults, hospital, etc. The students benefited a lot from the exchange activities which inspired them to evaluate and integrate approaches and models of aged care service delivery in Japan to facilitate the comprehensive development of Hong Kong’s aged care services. Special thanks go to the warm hospitality of the teachers and students from the Wakayama Medical University. All gerontology students enjoyed such an unforgettable trip!
