The tragic fire in Hong Kong has left our city in deep sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected. The School extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed to the relief efforts—including our colleagues, students and alumni, who have been working closely with the Primary Healthcare Office and community partners to provide nursing care, counselling, rehabilitation, and other essential services. Such compassion and solidarity embody the School’s long-standing commitment to safeguarding public health through excellence in education, research, and service. While we are humbled to be ranked among the world’s leading nursing schools—5th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject and 10th in the 2025 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) by ShanghaiRanking—the true measure of our excellence lies in transforming these recognitions into meaningful health-related impacts for those in need. Nurturing compassionate and competent nursing professionals remains central to our mission. Among the Class of 2025, Bachelor of Nursing graduate Ms. WOO Wing Hin received the Lee Woo Sing College Founding Master's Gold Medal—the College’s highest honour—recognising her academic excellence, all-round achievements and deep commitment to community service. Her example, together with that of many fellow students and alumni who consistently respond with compassion in times of need, reflects the holistic growth we strive to inspire. As 2026 marks the 35th anniversary of our School, let’s take this moment to heal, reflect, and move forward with renewed strength, compassion and resilience—values that will guide our service to the community and help us rise from adversity.
