As we conclude our year-end graduation celebrations, let’s take a moment to acknowledge our colleagues and students. They have continued to shine locally and globally this year, earning an impressive array of scholarships, awards and funding support.

This growing list of recognitions underscores our excellence and leadership in academia, research and service. Recent notable mentions include Prof. Ka Ming CHOW’s official induction as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). Additionally, Prof. Helen CHAN was recognised as a Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellow by the Research Grants Council. Furthermore, Prof. Connie CHONG’s Pai.ACT™ team has continued their winning streak, earning yet another award at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2024 for their AI-driven mobile app for tailored mental health support. We also have undergraduate and postgraduate students securing the AIA Scholarship (Hong Kong) and the Higher Education Financial Assistance Scheme (Macao).

Our recent efforts to expand our research reach and impact include co-organising the NICHE Research Symposium 2024 and sharing our findings at local and international conferences. Notably, one of our PhD students earned an oral presentation prize at the 2024 CUHK(SZ)-CUHK Joint Graduate Research Forum.

Our strong alumni network remains a vital source of support and inspiration, demonstrated by their enthusiastic participation during the CUHK Alumni Homecoming Day 2024 and a feature interview with JobMarket Magazine.
