I’m incredibly proud to witness our school consistently raising the bar with outstanding performances in education, research, and service. Notably, we’ve achieved a historic milestone by ranking 5th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject (Nursing), marking our first-ever entry into the global top five. We’ve also been topping the league table as 1st in Hong Kong since 2016 and Asia since 2020. Our commitment to driving innovation and impact is evident in other recent achievements. Our researchers earned two Merit Prizes in the CUHK Centre for Bioethics 10th Anniversary Art Competition, while an undergraduate student was recognised for her contributions to the CUHK Jockey Club Myopia Prevention Programme. These achievements demonstrate our strength in integrating innovative interprofessional strategies for knowledge transfer and community engagement, ultimately enhancing ethical, equitable and compassionate care. I’m also deeply humbled to share that I’ve been recently announced as an inductee of the 2025 International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame by Sigma Nursing and a recipient of the Best Teacher Award (Postgraduate Programmes) by our School. I attribute these personal accolades to the invaluable support and contributions of our exceptional team, who constantly inspire me to strive for excellence. To take our success to the next level, we’ll continue to leverage cross-sectoral, international collaborations, strengthening partnerships with alumni and leading universities worldwide. Recently, we hosted two research seminars on aged and chronic illness care, featuring distinguished members of our School and alumni network, alongside leading experts from New Zealand and Taiwan. I sincerely invite you to join our upcoming events to stay connected and empowered as we work together to shape the future of nursing!
