We’re already halfway through 2025—let’s take a moment to reflect on our recent progress. Two of our research projects aimed at enhancing mental health resilience have reached significant milestones. First, “Age with Good Mood”, a medical-social collaboration programme supporting older adults living alone, concluded with a heartfelt sharing and closing ceremony, showcasing the potential of this service model. Meanwhile, our Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) team successfully hosted the inaugural ACT Forum in Hong Kong. Their start-up, ACTuWISE Limited, was recognised as one of the top 10 winners of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)'s Start-up Express 2025 and was officially launched at Innoport@Shanghai. All these accomplishments have paved the way for further interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborations, broadening our research impact locally, nationally, and internationally. Our commitment to strategic collaboration is reinforced by active engagement with faculty and international partners. Recently, we welcomed Prof. Philip CHIU, Dean of CUHK Medicine, along with delegates and scholars from Australia, Canada, mainland China, Switzerland, and the UK to contribute to our scholarly activities and explore collaboration opportunities. Recent events underscore the importance of celebrating excellence. From the International Nurses Day Celebration Dinner to graduation and awards presentation ceremonies, our community has been honoured with well-deserved recognitions. Notably, Dr. Zoe KWOK was recognised with the CUHK Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award 2024. Additionally, our postgraduate research students have also received national and international scholarships and awards, which corroborate our reputation as a world-leading school of nursing aiming at teaching and research excellence. I’m pleased to extend the invitation once again for all of you to join us at the 8th Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference in March 2026. Together, through collaboration, innovation, and foresightedness, we can join forces to shape a promising future for nursing.
