The first quarter of our School’s 35th-anniversary year has been marked by meaningful celebrations and remarkable achievements. We began on a joyful note in February with our 35th Anniversary Alumni Reunion Dinner, which rekindled connections and strengthened bonds within our vibrant alumni community. This momentum accelerated through March as our faculty and students continued to shine in various arenas. Notably, nine nursing students received the CUHK Outstanding Students Awards 2025 for their all-round excellence, while our ACTuWISE project team once again triumphed at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, solidifying our global leadership in nurse-led innovation. Our global standing was further reaffirmed by achieving 6th in the world in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 while continuing our proud streak as No. 1 in Hong Kong since 2016 and No. 1 in Asia since 2020. Recent global engagement highlights include a research seminar featuring Dr. Michal Boyd (University of Auckland), and the successful hosting of the 8th Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference cum 2nd Cochrane Hong Kong Symposium, which brought together nearly 1,200 multidisciplinary delegates worldwide. These events reinforced our position as a world-class hub for high-level scholarly exchange, fostering international, interdisciplinary innovation to address emerging healthcare frontiers, drive policy reform, and create real-world impact. As our 35th-anniversary year unfolds, these achievements reflect not only how far we have come but also the immense potential ahead. My heartfelt thanks go to everyone whose continued support and synergised efforts have shaped our ever-growing success over the past 35 years. With unwavering commitment, our School will continue sharpening its competitive edge and delivering impactful healthcare contributions worldwide.
