GIVING TO CUHK NURSING

As we enter the Year of the Snake—a time associated with positive change and growth—our School is committed to preparing for accelerated success in 2025!

We will continue to leverage our strong industry and alumni networks. A recent example is our annual student development workshop for our undergraduate and pre-registration graduating classes, which brought together local healthcare leaders to facilitate strategic career planning. With our alumni association renewed last year, we have exciting plans for new engagement events this year to foster valuable interactions and greater synergy between our alumni and current students, starting with an outdoor activity in Q1.

We also recently celebrated the inauguration of new Nursing Society members and induction of new student ambassadors, who are embarking on their transformative leadership journeys. It’s inspiring to see students proactively embracing leadership and advocacy roles beyond their studies, which will undoubtedly contribute to their personal and professional growth.

Last year, Prof. Connie CHONG and Prof. Suzanne LO made remarkable strides by launching their start-ups, ACTuwise and Hayley Hand Care. Their entrepreneurial ventures have successfully broadened the reach and impact of their pioneering research innovations and projects. I eagerly anticipate seeing more of our researchers creating new impactful stories this year.

To further our goals, a key priority is strengthening our global interdisciplinary partnerships to enhance scholarly exchange, research collaboration, and community engagement. Just two months into 2025, we’ve already made a productive start with inbound exchanges involving students and delegates from nine institutions in mainland China, Taiwan, Indonesia and South Korea.

With many exciting activities on the horizon, let’s strive to maintain our world-class competitive edge and deliver great academic, research, and social impacts throughout 2025.
