CUHK Nursing has been successful in admitting the best students over the past three decades, with highlights on:

First of all, the admission score of our flagship programme, Bachelor of Nursing, has remained the highest among all local undergraduate nursing programmes since 1995. It is also one of the five most popular programmes at the CUHK in terms of both the total number of applicants and the number of Band A (top three choices) applicants applying through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS). Our MPhil-PhD in Nursing is the first programme of its kind in Hong Kong admitting students via the highly competitive Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS); and it has got the highest number of HKPFS awardees so far. Recently, our Master of Nursing has been listed under the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme that provides student fellowships up to HKD120,000 on a merit basis.

What's more, our Master of Nursing Science (Pre-registration) programme has continuously attracted high quality graduates from a variety of non-nursing subjects to pursue postgraduate studies for nursing registration. Besides, majority of the students of our Professional Diploma in Advanced Nursing Practice are practising nurses at the rank of Advanced Practice Nurse or above who had already obtained a master's degree before admission into the programme.
