Our School remains steadfast in upholding world-class excellence in research and education. Our highly cited professorial staff are consistently ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University, with 13 featured on the latest list. Their outstanding contributions to academia, research and industry also continue to be honoured with Fellowships from the American Academy of Nursing, with Prof. Ho Yu CHENG officially inducted this month.

In line with our commitment to strengthening international partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration, we recently co-organised the International Nursing Research (INR) Forum 2025 with Peking University. Delegates engaged in dynamic dialogue with renowned speakers from the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. This successful forum fuels momentum for our upcoming 8th Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference in March 2026, promising further opportunities for scholarly sharing and exchange. 

Our School’s startup, ACTuWISE, continues to make significant strides in advancing AI-driven mental health innovations. The team was recently recognised with the Innovation & Creativity Award at CUHK Entrepreneur Day 2025 and the Outstanding Project Award (AI Startup Category) at the Shanghai Hong Kong Innovation Project Final Pitch 2025. These accolades validate our strengths in transforming innovative research and entrepreneurship into impactful health solutions with broad local and national reach.

Recently, we welcomed a new cohort of pre-registration nursing freshmen at our annual Pass-it-on Ceremony, enriching our community with fresh talent and synergy. Whether new or returning, I encourage everyone to embrace collaboration and innovation as this academic year unfolds, driving our continued growth as a world-leading nursing school with a lasting legacy of excellence.
