Our School’s far-reaching impact is evident in the recent awards and honours received by four of our academic staff. Our professorial staff have also achieved very encouraging results from the RGC General Research Fund (GRF), RGC Strategic Topics Grant (STG), and CUHK Strategic Seed Funding for Collaborative Research Scheme. Notably, Prof. Jojo WONG co-leads a multidisciplinary international project on integrating AI in healthcare, securing an RGC STG in sharing of HK$31.5 million. This achievement underscores our growing leadership in driving innovative, interprofessional research. I’m also excited to share highlights from my academic visit to the United States, particularly my official induction into Sigma Nursing’s 2025 International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame. I’m deeply honoured by this prestigious recognition and grateful for the opportunity to connect with nurse leaders worldwide, united by our shared passion to extend our global impact. During the trip, I also had fruitful visits to two renowned nursing schools in Houston and Seattle, fostering new strategic partnerships. In terms of educational achievements, our professional consultant Dr. Joanna YEUNG obtained the Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA), recognising her teaching and professional excellence under the widely recognised UK Professional Standards Framework (PSF). This summer has been flourishing with cultural and academic exchanges. We hosted an exclusive laboratory tour for postgraduate fellowship awardees, introducing our new genetic and genomic nursing specialty stream. We’re also pleased to welcome aspiring young researchers from mainland China, Malaysia, and South Korea to our annual PhD Summer Workshop, alongside those inbound and outbound student exchanges across Australia, Taiwan, Macau, and mainland China. As summer ends, I hope that everyone feels re-energised to embrace new opportunities to grow, innovate, and collaborate in the global arena!
