Innovative Teaching Technologies
The Bachelor of Nursing Programme is sophisticatedly designed, with theoretical and practical components well integrating across the five study years to prepare students to become professional nurses with a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge. The programme places a heavy emphasis on the practical skills of students. The School has more than ten nursing laboratories, and several patient simulation systems that can display signs and symptoms of different illnesses and emergency conditions such as shock, sudden drop in blood pressure, etc. Students are required to work out care plans in groups to address the simulated scenarios, so as to enhance their capacities in handling crises and stressful situations.

Enhanced Clinical Practice
The programme includes 1,400 hours of clinical practice. Students have the chance to practise in different hospital and community settings and apply their nursing knowledge and skills under the supervision of School lecturers and clinical mentors.

Sponsored Overseas Exchange
In the past 10 years, the School sponsored more than 1,000 nal year students to visit renowned universities and hospitals in mainland China, UK, USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Denmark, etc., which have extensively enriched the students’ learning experience and international exposure.

The programme introduced a Guided Research Scheme as an innovative early approach to nurture nurse researchers. Under this scheme, School professors provide one-to-one coaching to high-potential students in conducting academic research, so as to develop their research interests and capacities to facilitate their future development in research.

Award and Professional Recognition
Graduates who have successfully completed the programme will be awarded a Bachelor of Nursing degree and eligible to register as Registered Nurses (General) with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. .

Graduates of the programme are qualied to work as Registered Nurses (General) in hospital and community settings. Those with good results may also pursue postgraduate studies, leading to career promotion as nurse specialists, nurse consultants, clinical managers or educators.
