I obtained my Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing from Wuhan University and in English from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in Nursing from Wuhan University in 2012. Throughout my academic journey, I was fortunate to receive several scholarships and awards in recognition of my academic excellence, including the National Scholarship, the National Encouragement Scholarship, the Second Prize for Excellent Scientific Research Achievements by College Students in Hubei Province, and the Outstanding Student Leader Award from Wuhan University. I was also recognised as an outstanding graduate in both my undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Since 2012, I have been working at the People’s Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where I serve as Vice Director of the Nursing Department, with responsibilities in nursing education, training, and research. To broaden my expertise, I completed a 15-month training at the Health Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in nursing administration and policymaking, and a five-month training at the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in research project management. I also served as a visiting scholar at the School of Public Health, State University of New York, where I focused on research design and data analysis. These experiences have enriched my professional journey and strengthened my dedication to advancing nursing science.
The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme offers me a valuable opportunity to pursue a PhD degree at the Nethersole School of Nursing, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I have enjoyed my three years of full-time study. I have learned rigorous research methods and applied them in my PhD program under the professional guidance and unwavering support of my supervisors. In addition to gaining scientific knowledge, I developed greater confidence, built collaborative relationships, and strengthened my passion for contributing to nursing science.
