Biography

Professor Stanley Lam received his Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Nursing degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Doctor of Philosophy degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests stemmed from his clinical experience as an emergency nurse and have become increasingly focused on establishing frontline healthcare professionals’ preparedness for large-scale public health emergencies, particularly on infectious disease outbreaks. Considering the intense challenges of mental health issues towards global health, much of his recent research has sought to address the effectiveness and relevance of various interventions on enhancing mental health and mental health literacy among nursing students, healthcare professionals, and the general population. These research efforts are united by the goal of informing public health decision-making.
